Welcome to Fit on a Whim! My name is Tanya Thurnau. When I began my journey to a healthy and happy body and life, I started taking notes about everything I desired - as a woman - in a fitness program that I wasn’t getting from all the health and fitness experiences I had along the way. Even though there are a lot of great programs out there, there was always something I personally wanted that was missing from whatever I was currently involved in. I figured if I had a desire for all of these components, then maybe a lot of other women do, too.
My final conclusion was this: to design individual programs for women that focus on the unique challenges we face and include one-on-one multi-level support and every tool imaginable for success and documentation of your journey. I want to take the guesswork out of getting fit and move you successfully from point A to point B with a light, positive attitude and lots of fun.
It is hard work to change habits and learn a new lifestyle, but I want you to enjoy the process, the things you learn about yourself, and accomplishments you make along the way. When you look back on what you’ve done, I want you to be able to smile and never allow yourself to slip back to the person you were before you began. I want you to be a better person not only for you, but for the people you love.
I am so proud to say I'm finally able to start providing these services online and in-home in hopes of bettering women's lives. My ultimate goal is to run a small fitness studio where I can host group classes and comfortably provide my services in person - creating a fun environment where women can meet other women on a similar journey.
